Marrying the 0.01% – by Maggie Kim

(Photo by John Cudal) +   Sometimes when I’m driving to work in the mornings, I pass the time by listening to “Ryan’s Roses”. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s probably better if you don’t. But basically, it’s a “service” that a radio show provides […]

Flippin’ Annoying People & God’s Love – by Paul J. Kim

We were actually good friends once. We met while volunteering and ended up being involved with another young adult ministry. We invited each other to special events, holiday gatherings, hung out with mutual friends, and even laughed at each other’s jokes. Then there came this season in the friendship […]

I Didn’t Even Tell My Closest Friends About My Attempted Suicide – by Maggie Kim

The other day, I spent some time at the Broad Museum in Downtown LA. Modern art is unique, graphic, and sometimes downright weird, and until this day I didn’t have much appreciation for it. But when I saw this particular painting, the first thing I thought was, “I’ve felt […]

I Lost All My Hair, But Found The Meaning Of Beauty – by Maggie Kim

Anybody who has known me for a while knows that I always had a great head of hair. I don’t mean to sound conceited or vain, but it’s the truth. I always had long, thick hair and every hair stylist I went to would grab fistfuls of it and excitedly […]

Why I Wish My Parents Had Talked To Me About Sex – by Maggie Kim

Let’s have that awkward conversation about sex.   Because we’re not doing anybody any favors by being hush-hush about this thing that is shoved into our faces every single day. Parents, pastors, youth ministers, and anyone else who has young ones looking to you for guidance and answers, this […]

What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting – by Maggie Kim

When I took a pregnancy test and realized I was pregnant with our second child, I cried. They were not tears of joy and thanksgiving, but rather tears of fear and anxiety. You see, my firstborn was only 5 months old at the time, and I had just started to […]

If You’re Single, You’re Gonna Die – by Paul J. Kim

Just kidding. Now, since you’re here… Let’s do some real talk. If you’re single, raise your hand. Now take a long, deep breath, and exhale. Feel that? Everything is going to be okay, you’re not gonna die… Unless you text and drive.   I know Christmas and the holidays are […]

    Youth Speaker for Hire!

“I have heard many, many motivational speakers in my life, but you are one of the best I have heard thus far. Your approach to the Catholic Church is truly inspiring, your music is phenomenal, and your message is a blessing to hear.”  Christine Flores  |  Youth Minister  |  Los […]

Confession: A Catholic Torture Chamber – by Paul J. Kim

“Confessing our sins is not going to a psychiatrist, or to a torture chamber: it’s saying to the Lord, ‘Lord, I am a sinner.’” ~ Pope Francis    I can remember the first time I had to go to confession. I was around 8 years old, and I was scared. […]

Would You Like Some Cleavage With Your Burger? – by Paul J. Kim

Every year in the United States, there’s this national holiday that rolls around called: Super Bowl Sunday. Half of the people at these household Super Bowl parties are there to see two NFL Football teams go at it for glory, in fierce competition. The other half of the partygoers are […]

“Snow is fun, for a day or two. Not several months.” - A Californian. ❄️
I don’t know why bad things happen to good people. Or why bad people are allowed to get ahead and harm others. I just know that when Christ suffered and died on the Cross, He did it to redeem the worst of sinners and the holiest of saints. He had a habit of taking thieves, prostitutes, liars, and murderers, and used their lives to accomplish His will in mysterious ways. Saul was once like the ISIS of his time, persecuting and murdering the early Christians. God would capture his heart and use that despicable man, to author the majority of the New Testament and convert countless lives under the new name of Paul. I often wrestle with my human emotions, my sins, my doubts, my anxieties, and my fears... but I’m thankful that God is bigger than all of that. Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit keeps raising up saints within us and among us.
#tbt That one time I cloned myself and harmonized one of my favorite Elvis songs.
East Coast!! What are you doing next month on January 18th (the night before the @marchforlife in Washington DC? Come and hang out with me and the @cfr_franciscans for a ridiculous, off the chart (11 out of 10), blessed + fun evening of music, prayer, and celebration! There will also be free snow outside. Maybe. #prolife #forlife
Just finished setting up our outdoor Christmas decorations for the first time! Grateful for our new home, but even more thankful that Jesus wasn’t afraid to be born into a stanky, poopy, dirty, animal infested manger as a statement to us: He’s not afraid of our mess, our sin, and our brokenness. And He comes to save. O come, O come Emmanuel, and ransom captive Israel. Happy Advent everyone! #advent
(Caption this first photo ;) I love you St. Cloud Minnesota peoples! I train all year for your winter weather by going into Costco walk in freezers without a jacket

Say yes! 📸cred: @visitorphoto #pauljkimstc #catholicproudstcloudFamily field trip to rediscover California’s Catholic roots. St. Junipero Serra, pray for us 🙏🏼. Thank you @querida6 for the tickets.Ladies, sisters, daughters, mothers... You are worth more, always. I wish I didn’t even have to repost this from last year, but every single day, in every feed, on every social media account, I see the sad reality of people seeking love, attention, and affirmation, in all the wrong ways.I’m excited to partner up with @haitimadeco in adding their beanies to my merch table at events! They help provide jobs for orphaned and abandoned children in Haiti, as well as keep families together by employing moms in need.
